Last night, Ben (our lead game dev) and I played a multiplayer game through COMDA (Champions of Miyandir Desktop App), the auto-play client we’ve been developing. It looks very promising.
One of our main goals for COMDA was to fix one of the biggest drawbacks of our original release: the lack of auto-play (i.e. allowing players to play in single player mode against a bot). This made it challenging for new players to get into the game because:
- You had to reach out to a stranger on our Discord server and ask them to play with you, which can be intimidating
- You had to wait for someone to be available in order to play the game
- It was impossible to learn the game through trial and error; you had to either read the rulebook or have someone teach you.
Adding auto-play will be such a game changer for our community and we are working hard to fix all the bugs and make major UX improvements to the client.
